Golden Pig Restaurant and Cooking School is owned by Katrina and Mark Ryan who between them have a wealth of knowledge in the hospitality, restaurant and design industries. Golden Pig Restaurant is open Wednesday - Saturday nights and Friday and Saturday lunch and offers first class Pan Asian cuisine. Golden Pig was recently awarded 1 hat by the national Good Food Awards.
Hands-on cooking classes are held on Sundays and Mondays and teach a variety of popular cuisines. Specialised classes and events can be tailored to suit private or corporate groups, such as interactive wine and food events, corporate team building cooking classes, and private lunches and dinners.   The venue is located in a a large industrial style warehouse in inner city Newstead with an abundance of natural light, high ceilings, original concrete floors and lush hanging plants . The space has been designed to be as flexible as possible and includes a kitchen area, front lounge and bar area as well as dining areas and rear bbq deck. The premises are available for weddings, cocktail parties and private bookings such as book launches, product showcases and corporate events.
